There are plenty of other job opportunities available that allow you to use your creativity and experience within the designing field. Within the interior designing field itself are a few specialized jobs that you might be interested in such as:

 

  • CAD Operator - designs drawings for skyscrapers. Drawings are put to use for appliances, toys, buildings, houses, and industry businesses.

  • Furniture Designer - knowledge of custom cabinetry and measurement of spaces is required. You can get a good earning depending upon your experience.

  • Senior Interior Designer – is the one who is responsible for large-scale design projects and must be able to handle all barriers that may occur.

  • Architectural Designer – works on commercial and industrial buildings and must be able to turn sketches into production drawings.

  • Interior Designer Hospitality - develops interior architecture and must understand all aspects of the design project including, project expenses, specifications, and construction documents.

So you see there are various kinds of interior design jobs that may be of interest. You could do an online search or check with your local design school for even more choices.
